Gregory G. Brown

Gregory G. Brown, Esq. has mediated cases since the mid 1990's and has resolved well over a thousand  cases through arbitration, mediation, and trial.  He is well known throughout Southern California as an individual that gets results.  His extensive trial and litigation background provides the a rock solid foundation from which to draw upon when serving as a mediator or arbitrator.  In addition to his litigation background, Brown expanded his mediation skills by attending the renowned Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution.  He has served as a private mediator and as an MSC mediator for the Superior Courts.  Brown is a member of the Southern California Mediation Association.  Brown's background is diverse, handling thousands of cases on both the plaintiff and defense side.  This provides a very unique perspective which provides significant insight when mediating cases.

Before lending his skills to the dispute resolution world, Brown was an accomplished jury trial veteran and Certified Specialist in Civil Trial Advocacy, a distinction earned by less than 130 lawyers in California. A trial lawyer for over 25 years, he spent over 500 days as lead trial counsel in jury trials throughout California. Since 1997, Brown has received Martindale-Hubbell's highest honor, an AV Rating, signifying that his legal abilities are of the "very highest standard" and his professional ethics are "unquestionable." He has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013. He has earned the coveted Avvo Rating of "Superb", 10.0 out of 10.0. He is also a graduate of the renowned National Institute of Trial Advocacy and has been named to the prestigious Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers since 1997.  In 2011, Brown was named Attorney of the Year, one of only 4 individuals receiving the honor nationwide

Brown's trial and litigation experience includes contract actions, fraud cases, trade secret litigation, trust litigation, commercial contract disputes, intellectual property disputes, unfair competition, false advertising, shareholder derivative actions, corporate litigation, professional liability, construction, personal injury and products liability suits, and complex marital dissolution cases. His successful defense of a Fortune 500 company in a $30 million fraud and breach of contract jury trial was featured in Verdict Magazine. His most recent trial involved a Trust & Estate dispute over the ownership of a well known food & beverage manufacturer valued at over $157,000,000. The L.A. Daily Journal featured Brown's achievements in a "Litigator Profile" article and has published dozens of his many trial successes.   

Brown is also well known as an expert in the use of cutting edge trial technology in trial and arbitrations. Brown's use of technology in the court room began when he represented a trial presentation software development company in trial against a competitor in the Mid - 1990's. Brown has since prepared hundreds of case winning trial presentations and has counseled clients and attorneys in the successful use of trial technology, and has used virtually all types of effective and persuasive evidence presentation tools in trial.  Brown has also writing about trial and has been published in the State Bar Magazine, California Litigation.

Born in La Jolla, California, Mr. Brown attended the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating in May 1987. He was named to the prestigious San Diego Law Review and served on the publication's staff for two years. In his senior year he was a founding editor of the Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues. He is a member of the California Bar, as has throughout his career been a member of the following professional associations:  Orange County Bar Association, Litigation Section, Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Business Law Section of the State Bar of California, Orange County Trial Lawyers Association and Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. Brown has been a 3 time nominee forTrial Lawyer of   Year and was a finalist in 2008.

Mr. Brown served on the Board of Directors of the Orangewood Children's Foundation/PALS Charity for over 12 years. He is a sports enthusiast, triathlete, marathon runner, and Ironman Triathlon Finisher!
