She is a highly regarded Orange County family law practitioner and was a founding partner in one of Orange County’s premier AV Rated law firms. Ms. Charbonneau is well known for her uncanny ability to get to the heart of a case and get it resolved. While compassionate and understanding, she is tenacious in her resolve to get couples to focus on common ground to reach a fair and reasonable resolution. She is skilled in dealing with the range of emotions that go with all family law matters and is able to relate to the parties like few others.
Ms. Charbonneau has worked in Southern California for over 24 years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and second in her class, Salutatorian, of Western State University College of Law in 1991. While in law school, she served as the associate editor of Law Review for two terms and was one of the few individuals selected to work as a judicial extern for Justice Wallin at the Court of Appeal.
Ms. Charbonneau thereafter embarked on a legal career, litigating both civil and family law matters. In 2002, Ms. Charbonneau co-founded Brown & Charbonneau, LLP, where she has devoted her entire practice to mediating family law matters and handling complex family cases. She has assisted countless couples in settling their disputes peacefully.
Ms. Charbonneau has continued to enhance her legal training and mediation skills over the years. Ms. Charbonneau was selected to teach as a law school adjunct professor at Western State University for several years, where she taught various courses, including legal writing and appellate advocacy. She also completed the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution mediation training program at Pepperdine University and has completed various programs in advanced training of mediation.
